Cayden MacCachren

2022, 2020-2021, UTV

After much success throughout 2021, Cayden was nominated for the SCORE Rookie of the Year award. Obtaining this award proves a huge accomplishment being his first true year of competing in the discipline. Alongside competing down south, the WORCS series in the states proved to be just as successful for him. Cayden won six out of ten races on the way to the Pro SXS championship. He also had the opportunity to co-ride alongside his father at the 2021 Mint 400, in which they were victorious. Each race added more seat time and experience for the next.

As 2022 came, the yearly race schedule stayed just as active as the previous. Cayden started off the year with the opportunity to drive a Polaris RZR Pro XP at the Parker 250, where he set the UTV world ablaze qualifying first overall without driving the vehicle before the event. Midway through the year, Cayden was able to connect with Brent Fox at the SNORE Midnight Special. Brent gave Cayden the opportunity to drive half of the race in his Herbst-built Spec Trophy Truck. They were able to take home the overall win by over fifteen minutes. As he began to close the year, another opportunity came forward when Cayden was given the chance to pilot the #219 Sourapas Spec Trophy Truck for the remainder of the 2022 SCORE series. As the year goes on Cayden will finish out the WORCS series in his trusted Polaris RZR RS1 along with a charge to win the Baja 1000 in November.

Cayden told ORMHOF, "Off-Road racing has evolved into a daily drive. I continue to push hard, exceed expectations, and overcome challenges as they are presented. With each given chance, I grow my off-road knowledge and bring valuable aspects to the teams I compete with."

2020-21 Archive: In 2020, I competed full time in the WORCS off-road championship for Polaris. With thirteen race wins and two championships, 2020 was a success. Looking back on the year, it was more a year of learning for what was to come.

At the beginning of 2021, the plan was to continue racing full time in the WORCS series but add a mix of desert racing in. A partnership soon came to drive with the Jagged X racing team in the SCORE series. This partnership would soon prove beneficial at the 2021 SCORE San Felipe 250 where we took home a first place overall UTV finish in a Polaris RZR. A partnership soon came to drive with the Jagged X racing team in the SCORE series. This partnership would soon prove beneficial at the 2021 SCORE San Felipe 250 where we took home a first place overall UTV finish in a Polaris RZR. A deal was put in place to continue this partnership for the full SCORE series. This partnership once again proved advantageous at the Baja 500 and Baja 400 with 3rd and 6th place finishes respectively. The 2021 race season also brought the opportunity to compete in a spec truck in multiple US race series. With much success so far, I will continue to push hard to exceed expectations.

Simply put, off-road is my life. I was born into off-road and have a close relationship with my father, Rob MacCachren. In this house, we live off-road. Not only racing but many other aspects such as exploring the unconquered.

When you’re around off-road this much, it becomes part of you. Soon it’s all you talk about then, it’s all you think about, next thing you know, you are eating, sleeping, and breathing the energy off-road brings. This may seem absolutely insane but I promise, take the time to experience the peace the uncharted can bring your soul. Now, take these wonders, and attempt to blaze through them at unimaginable speed. This is off-road racing, a perfect combination of mental and physical challenges.

Off-road may be a habit, but off-road RACING is an addiction with no hope of breaking.
