2026, Rock Sports
My name is Brett Dickey, and I'm a 17-year-old senior at Hurricane High School. Off-roading has been my life for as long as I can remember. I was lucky enough to be born into a family that loves the rock crawling world. At age three, I would sit on my Dad's lap and drive his Jeep through different trails in Moab. When I was about five, I scored a gas-powered mini Jeep, which I literally drove the wheels off of; and by the age of nine, my dad bought me a very accomplished moonbuggy, which I named "The Trasher". He had me driving ten rated trails within three months, and I loved every minute of it.My next car was a Red Dot, and I entered my first competition in 2022, a W.E. Rock event in Cedar City. That year, I tied for the Western Division championship. I was still playing football at the time, which is where the #17 comes from, but after realizing I wouldn't have time for both, I told my Dad, "Rock crawling is my life." From there, we've continued to travel and compete all over the country. I won Trail Breaker 2024 in my Kalif Reddin car at age 15, the same time I was taking Driver's Ed in school. I'm now competing in my Hulse Engineering car, "Sancho". I love this sport and hope to be a successful part of it for a long time to come.
These are some of my highlights over the past year in my rockcrawling career.
I won 1st place and $10K in the Texas Top Gun shootout in November 2025 beating 25 of the best rock crawling drivers in the world.

I would like to thank my sponsors Robert Lucero with Area BFE, Battle Born Wheels, Sasquatch Motorsports, Hulse Engineering, UC-FAB, JM Rigging, and Ben and Ryker Hanks. We could not do what we do without these guys.
“To put it in my own words ( Off-roading is my life!!!! ) I am lucky enough to live in Hurricane, UT, and have Sand Hollow State Park in my backyard. When I am not driving hard-core buggy trails, I am driving my Jeep, wheeling with my friends 24/7. If I could possibly make off-roading a career, it would be a dream come true! I plan to keep competing in the off-road community, hopefully forever, or until my dad runs out of money LOL.” – Brett Dickey
