Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to custom home developers, one of the first motor vehicles I operated was a skid-steer on the job site, and I haven’t stopped working since. Before that, I hopped on a pedal bike and competed in BMX at an international level. I attribute my understanding of cornering, being shoulder to shoulder with a competitor, and picking the best technical lines to racing BMX at a young age. My dad taught my brother and me how to assemble and disassemble our bikes, so I have been hands-on since the beginning of my racing career. Somewhere between BMX and construction, I joyrode dirt bikes and jet skis in Southern Utah. That deepened my love and understanding of motor-driven fun.
In my early-to-late teenage years, our neighbor started a UTV shop and asked if we wanted to buy one. We quickly built a short-course UTV, and my brother and I started racing. After a few years of short-course racing, we headed to the 2017 Baja 1000 with our first desert car and a dream. We had a bad part that failed three times, eventually timing us out. Since then, in Mexico, I have finished every mile of every race and haven’t missed one. I've since found my wife through off-roading, and our families together have spent hundreds, if not thousands, of hours together bonding over this sport. I pride myself on being prepared, honest, committed, and competitive.

My life has been structured by off-road racing, and racing in general, and my plans are to continue to have it that way. Long-term, I want to keep growing this sport — bringing new sponsors in, mentoring up-and-coming racers, and proving that a small team built on family and hard work can compete with anyone.
Off-road racing, to me personally, gives my life drive and purpose. In the car, I can be assertive, dominating, and confident in every decision I make with immediate feedback. We are always bettering our cars and building something new and race-legal, which is a fun challenge. Racing is also a way to connect with people around the world, as well as the lands we race over. It’s about finding like-minded people and human connection. Racing alongside my wife gives us memories that no one else can explain and has forged our trust in each other.
“Racing is who I am and shapes who I aspire to be every day. It betters me, it challenges me, and has quite literally made me who I am.” – Kaden Wells
