ORMHOF 2022 Land Use Donation to be presented to Southern Four Wheel Drive Association

The Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that the Hall of Fame 2022 Land Use Donation will be presented to Southern Four Wheel Drive Association. Representatives of SFWDA will accept the donation at the Hall of Fame 2022 Induction & Awards Gala presented by 4 Wheel Parts on Sunday, October 30 at the South Point in Las Vegas.

Each year, the ORMHOF board of directors selects a Land Use organization to receive a donation representing a portion of the funds received from Hall of Fame partners.

"We feel that it is important to give back to the organizations who are working to keep our public lands open to the public for all to enjoy," said ORMHOF chairman Mark McMillin.

Previous recipients of the ORMHOF Land Use Award include the American Sand Association, Tread Lightly!, Red Rock 4 Wheelers, Friends of Oceano, CORVA, San Diego Off-Road Coalition, and the Blue Ribbon Coalition.

Bo Rosa, SFWDA president, tells ORMHOF, "We are the Southern Four Drive Association, an organization of 4-wheel drive clubs and individual members in the southeastern United States. Formed in 1987 our association is dedicated to promoting four-wheel drive recreation on both public and private lands, off-road education, responsible land usage, and OHV trail conservation. SFWDA proudly supports ORBA, Tread Lightly, Blue Ribbon Coalition, and the UFWDA among other organizations."

"SFWDA supports and facilitates projects throughout the year at the club, state, and regional levels," Bo said. "Consistent with our stated mission the purpose is to respect and protect our valuable natural resources and promote responsible land usage and OHV trail conservation in both the public and private sectors. SFWDA works in close cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), state agencies in various regions, and also private landowners."

Upon learning of the Hall of Fame donation, Bo thanked ORMHOF saying, "On behalf of all of the Southern Four Wheel Drive Association members, I am honored to receive this donation. The funds will be used to help defray the legal costs incurred by our organization's efforts to keep the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway open for motorized recreation."
