Crandon World Championships Poker Run to Benefit the Hall of Fame

Crandon International Raceway will kick off the 53rd Polaris Crandon World Championships Labor Day Weekend with a Poker Run to benefit the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame and the Forest County UTV Association.  Off-Road Hall of Fame inductee Curt LeDuc and incoming Class of 2022 inductee Scott Taylor are among the off-road celebrity guests participating in the Poker Run on September 1st.

The raceway has rightfully earned its nickname of "The Big House" as it has played host to some of the most magical moments in short course off-road history over the past half-century.  The legacy of championship off-road racing is just one part of the Crandon story; the raceway gives back in a big way, returning hundreds of thousands of dollars to local charities throughout the years, and this year will be no exception.

Crandon International Raceway hosts two major short course events each year, the Crandon Brush Run and Crandon World Cup.  Off-road racers and fans from across the country flock to the northern Wisconsin woods, experiencing the top-notch racing and down-home hospitality that Crandon is known for.

This is the second year that the Crandon Poker Run will benefit the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame.  At the 2021 event, the Crandon staff and board of directors presented ORMHOF with a check for $4,000.00.

ORMHOF uses funds received from donations to help preserve the history of the sport of off-road, and Crandon International Raceway is a big part of that history.  Cliff Flannery, Crandon Raceway president, is a Hall of Fame member, and his brother, Jack, is a Legacy inductee of the Hall of Fame.  Hall of Fame legends Walker Evans and Curt LeDuc are both regulars at Crandon, now returning to the Big House as fans instead of competitors.  Incoming ORMHOF Class of 2022 Hall of Fame inductee Scott Taylor earned much of his racing success at Crandon.

The wonderful citizens of Crandon, Wisconsin, were presented with the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame 2017 Volunteer Award in recognition of their generosity to their community, and their hospitality to the racers and fans at Crandon International Raceway.
