“A Walking Encyclopedia” and “Historian Supreme” of institutional OHV knowledge is how one of many letters of recommendation for Jim Bramham refers to this Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame Class of 2018 inductee.

Jim has served the California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs as event chair, board of directors’ member, president, and natural resource consultant.  He was instrumental with Cal4Wheel and other associations in the creation of the North American Motorized Recreation Council. Jim was appointed to the California Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Commission in 1996, where he served four years. He was also active in the creation of Friends of Oceano Dunes and Friends of Sand Mountain, grassroots organizations pivotal in keeping OHV recreation access. His work to keep dune access open for motorized recreation continued at Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area (aka Glamis) and Dumont Dunes Recreation Area, and he helped in the formation of the American Sand Association, serving as a longtime board member.

"I am so pleased and humbled to join the Board of ORMHOF! I hope to bring my years of experience in recreational off-road and OHV advocacy to help strengthen and guide the mission of this expanding organization." -- Jim Bramham

Nate Hunt Crop for Board Release

Nate Hunt

"What an honor and privilege to be considered and chosen to serve on the Board of Directors for the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame. I have so many mentors and people I highly respect on this board and involved with ORMHOF. This opportunity is truly humbling, but also motivating." -- Nate Hunt

Nate Hunt is the Motorsports Race Operations Director for ORMHOF partner Jackson. Nate's bio on the Jackson website says that there's not much Nate hasn't done at Jackson. He has had roles as the IMSA Tire Inventory Manager, the Program Manager for the Volvo Construction Equipment Tour, and the Program Manager/Lead Demo Motorcycle leader for BMW Motorrad -- "and that is just the short list."

Nate says, "I’m truly excited to help grow such an important part of the off-road community. ORMHOF is such a key group to capture history, promote current efforts, and invest in the future of off-road motorsports. I’m excited to get to work."

In 2008, Nate attended three hallmark off-road events, the King of the Hammers, a short course race at Crandon International Raceway, and The SCORE Baja 1000.

"ORMHOF board member and inductee Frank DeAngelo gave me an opportunity in 2011 to be full-time in off-road motorsports," said Nate. "I never dreamed that opportunity and working under his guidance would lead me down this path. I'm grateful for everyone along the way who took the time to make an impact on my life. Rod Hall (former ORMHOF chairman, legendary off-road racer, and Hall of Fame legacy inductee} was a special friend and mentor of mine and ORMHOF was a passion of his, so to be a small part of this organization means a great deal to me."

About the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame

The Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame was established in 1978 by racing promoter and NORRA founder Ed Pearlman to recognize and honor those individuals and organizations whose lifelong contributions to off-road motorsports have set a standard for others to follow.
