Juan Tintos is being honored on behalf of the entire staff at SCORE International for their behind-the-scenes efforts to successfully keep the marquis off-road races in Baja on schedule throughout the 2020-2021 season, despite the seemingly insurmountable obstacles presented by the global pandemic.
As SCORE General Manager and Mexico Liasion, a position he has held since 2017, Mr Tintos brings great experience to his role in representing the off-road community. He has an accomplished resume as a visionary of tourism activity in Baja California and Mexico during his career and served as the Baja California Secretary of Tourism for 12 years.
"Juan has tremendous experience not only in the area of tourism but even more experience and knowledge in dealing with all different types of Mexican government officials and police agencies that we work with to produce our SCORE Baja races," said SCORE's Roger Norman. "He has worked both on the side of the government and the side of the tourism industry in Mexico which brings SCORE an immeasurable amount of stability and insight to our relationship with all the different agencies and individuals we work with each race in Baja California."
Mr Tintos developed and promoted many of Baja California's successful tourism programs and projects for nearly 25 years. Among the highlights was his involvement in securing the filming of the movie 'Titanic' and several other productions that followed to help establish the film industry in the state. He also developed and produced the first tourism-related teaching materials for schools in all of Mexico.
