Gustavo 'Gus' Vildosola Sr is being honored with an ORMHOF 2024 Impact Award in the Desert Racing category for his remarkable performance in the SCORE Trophy Truck Legends Class. 

Gus won all four races in the SCORE Trophy Truck Legends Class during the 2023 season, earning the SCORE World Desert Racing Championship in his class.  He has continued his winning ways, with first-place finishes in the first three SCORE races of the 2024 season in SCORE Trophy Truck Legends.

Gus, who is now in his 70s, founded the Vildosola Racing team in 1968. "I always had a passion for vehicles, especially off-road vehicles", said Gus. "I had to convince my family, aunts, and uncles to give me money for my birthdays so I could save up to slowly start building my team. It was that way that I accomplished my goal and was able to race for my first time in 1968 at the Laguna Salada."
