His given name is Abelardo Grijalva, but the off-road world knows him as 'Jose G'.

Jose G told ORMHOF, "I was born in Ensenada Mexico in November of 1971. I grew up farming. I have been a big fan of off-road racing since I can remember. I started racing in 1994, and am still active as a racer. In 2013 I started directing the SCORE races. Now I am SCORE's President and Race Director."

"In 2024 I got back behind the wheel after a brief pause due to health issues," Jose G said. "I have raced three races this year and won my class in all three.  I have also organized the SCORE San Felipe 250, the Baja 500, and the Baja 400 with great success, and am working on the Baja 1000."

"Off-Road is my passion, it's my 24/7 job, and I love it. My goal is to make off-road racing better every time, and safer, to guarantee that our future generations can keep racing in Baja." -- Abelardo 'Jose G' Grijalva

Jose G would like to thank BFGoodrich, Method Wheels, VP Racing, King Shocks, Polaris, Optima, and Sylvania.
